Ecological processes manifest themselves in wildly diverse ways–from the ecologies that assemble around deep water oceanic vents to the diversity of tropical forests to the deep, fertile soils that build under prairies to the rich productivity of estuaries.

New ecologies designed to solve contemporary problems and function under contemporary conditions will be equally diverse, yet based on the same universal principles and processes.
